ENGLAND legend Alan Shearer made a dramatic pitstop at a Nottinghamshire golf course today to take part in a unique charity challenge.
Shearer arrived by helicopter at Nottinghamshire Golf and Country Club, in Cotgrave, where he played just one hole before propelling back to the skies.
It was all part of a challenge in which the Match of the Day pundit aims to play one hole at 18 courses across the country to raise funds for the Alan Shearer Foundation.
Shearer undertook a similar event last year and raised £20,000 for his charity which helps children and adults with serious disabilities.
His opponent was entrepreneur Feisal Nahaboo who was hoping to win the rematch after being edged out inside 17 holes last September.
