POLICE say they are being successful in efforts to tackle gangs of yobs in Old Basford.
The force decided to act after receiving complaints from people living around Vernon Road, Mandalay Street, Ealing Avenue and Bulwell Lane about antisocial behaviour.
There had been cases of vandalism and loud noises disturbing people in the evenings.
Police have been out on patrols to combat the problem and using CCTV cameras to record the faces of offenders.
A message on the force website said: "The CCTV van has been deployed in the area again during November.
"It has helped in reducing the antisocial behaviour, which has led to a decrease of complaints from local residents.
"From feedback at the November Basford Forum residents have told us that they have seen an improvement in the area but Bulwell Lane still has some problems of anti-social behaviour."
