Notts County produced a superb gritty performance to prevent Peterborough United from staying at the top of League One.
The Magpies had the better chances of the first half and should have taken the lead midway through but Jake Cassidy blazed wide.
Reece Brown then saw a goalbound shot blocked as the Magpies continued to press.
But on the stroke of half-time they had Roy Carroll to thank for keeping them on level terms when he made a point-blank save to deny Jack Baldwin.
Marcus Maddison then saw a shot saved early in the second half as Posh looked to gain momentum.
But shots from Brown and Noble whistled past the post as Notts refused to be overwhelmed.
Late on Posh summoned some pressure with Luke James firing over while Maddison followed suit when he should have passed to the unmarked Jon Taylor.
