MANSFIELD Town have signed winger Junior Brown on loan from League Two rivals Oxford United.
The 25-year-old is caretaker boss Adam Murray's first signing and will stay with the Stags until January 3.
He is set to go straight into their squad at Luton Town tomorrow.
But, having played for Oxford in the FA Cup this season, Brown will be ineligible to play in that competition for Mansfield.
Murray said: "Junior will bring good balance, intelligence and know-how to our improving squad.
"He knows how to be successful and fits in to our current thought process."
Brown (pictured) came through the prestigious academy set-up at Crewe and made one first team appearance at Gresty Road before leaving in 2008.
He played over 100 league games for Fleetwood between 2010 and 2014 before joining Oxford in July.
He has played 15 games for The U's this season.
