Carlton: Three extra flats have been added to plans to convert a Grade II listed knitters' mill into homes.

Fifteen self-contained flats are proposed at the Carlton Mill building, in Burton Road. The red-brick building has a 19th-century design and would not be demolished in any way as part of the plans from DJS Architectural Services.

City: Members of Neighbourhood Watch schemes across Nottinghamshire are attending a community celebration as part of their annual general meeting.

Seasonal music and stalls with festive gift ideas will be on offer as well as mulled wine and mince pies.

The celebration is at Nottingham Trent University's Newton Building in Goldsmith Street from 4pm on Tuesday.

City: RSPB Nottingham will hold its next meeting at the New Mechanics, in North Sherwood Street, on Wednesday, December 3.

Speaker Nick Martin will give a talk about the secret wildlife of the Cairngorms. The event starts at 7.30pm, admission is £3 for adults and £1.50 for children.

Awsworth: A charity jumble sale in aid of Notts and Lincs Air Ambulance starts at 2pm today at Awsworth Village Hall, in The Lane.

Ravenshead: Four houses could be built in place of an existing property at 94 Sheepwalk Lane.

The homes would include garages and private drive access, if the plans are accepted by Gedling Borough Council. Applicant Abbeystone Developments has submitted a formal planning application.
