Lee Mack – the multi-award winning star of Not Going Out and Would I Lie To You? is back on the road with his first live tour in four years. New Art Exchange in Hyson Green presents Nigerian photographer J.D Okhai Ojeikere's exhibition of African ornate hairstyles and headdresses. Explores hairdressing, beauty as well as Nigerian cultural traditions. Open from 10.30am to 3.30pm.

Christmas Bauble Hunt – Skegby Library near Sutton in Ashfield launches its bauble hunt for youngsters from today until December 22. Kids who take part will be entered into the library's prize competition. Suitable for ages three-plus. Takes place at Skegby Library, Mansfield Road from 3.45pm-4.30pm.

Tree planting at West Park – Erewash Borough Council will be holding a morning looking at tree planting in Long Eaton's West Park from 10am-noon. The event is free of charge and all are welcome. The tree wardens will meet at the West Park Leisure Centre Car park.

The Philosophy of Time – Dr Jonathan Tallant, head of the department of philosophy at the University of Nottingham, offers an introduction into the philosophy of time, understanding how objects exist in the present and the past and the big thinkers behind this fascinating topic. The event takes place at the Nottingham Contemporary in the Space from 6.30pm-8pm. Entry is free.

Echo and The Bunnymen – the legendary Liverpool band will be performing from their 12 albums this evening at Rock City. Doors open at 7pm with expected finish time of 11pm. Tickets are £29.15 including booking fee.
