COLIN Newsum, 55, of Herald Close, Beeston, has been fined for assaulting a female in Beeston on New Year's Day. A hearing at Nottingham Magistrates' Court fined him £65 and ordered him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £85. He entered a guilty plea on January 16.
KESTUTIS Kaupas, 42, of Queens Court, Newark, denied assaulting a female in Newark on December 28. His trial will be at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on March 25. He is on conditional bail.
ADAM Pearson, 30, of St Mary's View, Hucknall, pleaded guilty to assaulting a female in Hucknall last November. Magistrates in Nottingham fined him £70 and gave him a restraining order not to contact the victim. He must also pay a £20 victim surcharge and costs of £50.
KYLE Pilkington, 19, of Valley Road, Kimberley, is to appear before magistrates in Nottingham on March 22. He denies assaulting a female, criminal damage to a Renault Megane and using threatening behaviour. The offences all allegedly happened in Kimberley on January 3. He is on conditional bail.
JAMIE Doleman, 28, of Broomhill Road, Hucknall, will appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on March 20. He is accused of assaulting a male in Hucknall on September 28 last year. After pleading not guilty, his case was listed for a trial on March 20 at 2.15pm. He is on conditional bail.
CHRISTOPHER Barnham, 47, of Old Bull Farm Close, Sutton Bonington, was fined £400 for driving without due care and attention in a forklift truck last October. He pleaded guilty to the offence, which happened in Main Street, Ratcliffe-on-Soar, when he appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court. He received the fine and was ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge and costs of £35. Six penalty points will be added to his licence. No separate penalty was imposed after he admitted he had no insurance for the forklift.
PETER Brooks, 72, of Cornell Drive, Arnold, is due to appear before magistrates in Nottingham accused of driving without due care and attention. He was allegedly behind the wheel of a MG Rover ZS in Central Avenue, Mapperley, when the offence happened on February 23 last year. His case has been adjourned until February 6.
ISHMEL Steele, 36, of Beech Avenue, Newark, denies drink-driving on the A616 in Nottinghamshire on May 19 last year. Magistrates in Nottingham will hear his trial on March 20 at 2pm. He is alleged to have had 103 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood – exceeding the 80 milligrams legal limit.
BEN Wong, 33, of Stanhope Avenue, Carrington, was fined £170 for driving without due care and attention. Magistrates in Nottingham heard he admitted being behind the wheel of a Toyota Yaris, in Maid Marian Way, Nottingham city centre, when he committed the offence last September. He also has to pay a £15 victim surcharge and costs of £35. His licence will be endorsed with three points.
MAGISTRATES in Nottingham issued a fine to a 22-year-old man for failing to stop after an accident in Lenton. Nathan Woodward, of Raleigh Street, Radford, had been driving a Ford Fiesta in Derby Road on September 23 last year when there was an accident involving a Vauxhall Corsa After entering a guilty plea, he was fined £230 and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and costs of £35. His licence will be endorsed with five points.
JOSHUA Eaton, 23, of Prospect Street, Mansfield, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police sergeant in the execution of his duty, in Mansfield on September 14 last year. He also admitted a charge of using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause harassment, alarm or distress, in Mansfield on the same day. Eaton was given a community order with a supervision requirement. He was also ordered to pay £10 compensation to the sergeant and £85 towards prosecution costs.
CHRISTOPHER Smith, 29, of South Street, Ilkeston, denies three assaults in Arnold and is on conditional bail to attend Nottingham Magistrates' Court again on April 2.
WESLEY Harpham, 34, of Clipstone Road West, Forest Town, pleaded guilty to two charges of criminal damage. Justices in Mansfield fined him £120 and ordered he pay £50 compensation to a female who owned a blind and vase he damaged in Mansfield on January 6. On the same date he damaged a window belonging to a man in Mansfield. Magistrates ordered him to pay him £100 compensation.
LIAM Ball, 21, of Hunter Road, Arnold, was fined £100 for urinating in public. He committed the offence in Goldsmith Street, Nottingham, on November 24 last year. His guilty plea was entered by post at Nottingham Magistrates' Court. He also has to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £35 costs.
NATHAN Ruth, 25, of Riber Crescent, Basford, pleaded guilty to harassing a female in Top Valley last year. Magistrates in Nottingham granted him conditional bail until March 13.
