Scott McNiven is expected to wield the axe when Hyde play host to play-off hopefuls Mansfield.
The Tigers appeared to have turned a corner after sealing their first win of 2013 against Telford recently.
However, Saturday's 4-0 thrashing at home to Kidderminster leaves them with only one win from their last seven as they sit just five points above the relegation zone.
Midfielders Alex Brown and Grant Spencer and defender Tom Anderson all came off the bench against the Harriers and are now pushing for a starting place.
Striker Matt Blinkhorn could also return to the squad having narrowly failed a late fitness test at the weekend, while David Poole and Scott Spencer also face a late check.
Matty Harris and Ashley Frith are unavailable after joining Marine FC and AFC Fylde respectively on loan. Stefan Cox has also left the club by mutual consent.
Mansfield boss Paul Cox could name an unchanged side for the third successive match.
Cox fielded the same side beaten by Newport when they met Cambridge on Saturday, and having demanded a response was rewarded with a 3-1 win.
However, he also admitted he was looking to speak to chairman John Radford about bolstering his squad in an attempt to avoid fatigue in the run-in.
"What I want to do is make sure we are not running on empty at any stage. We are going to be playing Saturday and Tuesday from now on and pitches are going to be heavy," he told the Nottingham Post.
"I don't want to miss out because fatigue and the games have caught up with us. I want to make sure we plan for every eventuality."
The Stags chief has a near fully-fit squad to choose from should he opt to make changes with injured duo Ross Dyer and Jake Speight (both knee) remaining the only absentees.
