CHRIS Kiwomya still hasn't got a clue if he is going to be the next Notts County manager – but insists he's not going to bang on the chairman's door and demand he makes his mind up.
The 43-year-old will be in caretaker charge of the Magpies for a fourth game against Bury at Meadow Lane tonight (7.45pm).
And he has revealed the club's board have not said one word to him about his chances of landing the job permanently, since they sacked Keith Curle almost three weeks ago.
It is all starting to drag on a bit, but Kiwomya said: "I'm not going to sit here and say I want to know what's going on – I was development coach here only a couple of weeks ago.
"They know what's going on in their minds, but I'm not in a position to start asking them.
"I've just got to take each game and try to get the best from the players for 90 minutes.
"It's up to me to get the wins and if I do, then they might want to talk to me.
"The lads have done well, but we're not kidding anybody here – we need to win games."
The Magpies have not yet won a game under Kiwomya.
They lost 2-0 at Stevenage just a day after he took over from Curle and have drawn their last two games 1-1 against Crewe and Walsall.
"I've not been told a single word, but I think if I get a win it would help," added Kiwomya.
"There will be a lot of applicants for the job and they are probably taking their time.
"I'm enjoying it, I love making decisions.
"I'll get some right and I'll get some wrong, but I think so far the lads have responded when I've asked them to.
"I think we've been playing well, but not taking our chances."
