CHRIS Kiwomya has been told he will be Notts County manager until the end of the season.
Kiwomya, who took charge on a caretaker basis following the departure of Keith Curle last month, has now been given the remainder of the campaign to prove he deserves the job on a long-term basis.
Chairman Ray Trew announced the decision this afternoon, less than 24 hours after the 4-1 demolition of Bury at Meadow Lane.
"Chris has shown his desire and enthusiasm for the job. We think Chris deserves a chance to build on the work he has done in the short space of time that he has been in charge of first team affairs," said Trew.
"We are happy to confirm he will be at the helm until the end of the campaign.
"We will review the situation at the end of the season, but Chris now has the chance to show what he can do, in the knowledge that he has an extended spell in charge."
