TWELVE burglaries have taken place in Wollaton since the start of this month and police are asking residents to be on their guard.
There has been an increase in burglaries around Seaford Avenue, Hambledon Drive and Heckington Drive.
Three burglaries took place on Friday, all during the day, in Hambledon Drive, Heckington Drive and Seaford Avenue.
There have been two other burglaries in Heckington Drive this month, with Ringwood Crescent, Torvill Drive, Russell Drive, Richborough Place, Goodwood Road, Bramcote Lane and Deepdale Road also targeted.
The burglars have forced patio doors, kicked in a back door panel and smashed glass in a rear door to gain entry. There is no pattern in the type of property being targeted but it would appear the thieves are picking houses where the owner are out at work.
