A JUDGE has given a convicted robber a chance to stay out of trouble after he admitted possessing cocaine and cannabis.
Bruce Oscroft, 27, of Whyatt Court, Sherbrook, Daybrook, had small amounts of the drug in Arnold last year.
He appeared at Nottingham Crown Court today to be sentenced, after the new offences put him in breach of a suspended sentence for a street robbery.
Judge Philip Head could have sent him to prison but decided to defer sentence until July 12.
He told him: "You and I will meet at Leicester Crown Court on July 12. If you are not there, you will be in breach of your bail. You have to commit no further offences of any sort."
He said if Oscroft stayed out of trouble, he would not send him to prison.
"Foul up in any way and I will send you to prison," he warned.
