Hockley in Nottingham has been ranked among the top 30 coolest places to live in Britain.
A poll conducted by The Times rates the city-centre area as the 15th coolest place to live in Britain - it is placed just behind Jesmond in Newcastle and one above Whitstable in Kent.
The survey said: "Slap in the city centre beside the swish Lace Market apartments, Hockley is a mecca for cool types.
"Besides its art galleries, New Age outlets and cafe culture, the beating heart of Hockley is the Broadway cinema, which hosts regular festivals."
Topping the list was Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire and coming in 30th position was Montpelier in Bristol.
