A MAN who admitted causing death by careless driving after a crash on the A46 near Newark will be sentenced later this month.

Dean Symons, 52, of Mickleborough Avenue, St Ann's, was due to be sentenced at Nottingham Crown Court yesterday.

The date was moved to April 15 at 2pm, when full details about what happened will be made public.

The court was previously told Symons was very sorry for the accident which resulted in the death of Lance Corporal Christopher Bradshaw, who was based at RAF Digby, Scopwick Heath, Lincolnshire. Symons, 30, of Telford, Shropshire, was driving a blue Fiat Punto when it was in collision with an articulated lorry, which overturned.

Two other lorries and a Fiat Brava were also involved in the crash.

The accident happened just after 5am on Saturday, November 26, 2011, at the Farndon junction of the A46 and B6166.

The road was closed until the following day.
