Second man charged in connection with stabbing outside Primark

A 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with a city centre stabbing. Phillip Smith, of Heskey Walk in St Ann's, has been charged with affray after the incident, which happened after a fight outside Primark, in Long Row, in the early hours of November 11, 2012. The 27-year-old victim was taken to hospital in a critical condition. Smith will appear before Nottingham magistrates Tuesday, April 23. Another man, aged 28, who was also arrested in connection with the incident, has been released without further action. Christopher Jones, of Glamis Road in Sherwood, has already been charged with GBH following the stabbing. The 21-year-old has also been charged with a further common assault on an unknown man in Mansfield Road later the same morning. He was remanded into custody and is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Friday, April 19.
