STAFF from leading vet charity PDSA's Nottingham PetAid hospital have received £300 thanks to the fundraising efforts of John Lewis staff.
The staff, who held a cake sale and a dog walk to raise the money, recently presented the cheque to Rupert Symes, the Senior Vet at Nottingham PDSA.
He said: "We are very thankful for this fantastic donation to our busy pet hospital. We regularly see over 150 pets every day here, and there is increasing demand for our vital service in the current economic climate, as more and more owners find themselves struggling to afford vet care."
Nottingham PDSA PetAid hospital, located on Dunkirk Way, provides free veterinary care for the sick and injured pets of local people in need.
The veterinary charity also helps to promote responsible pet care through leaflets, websites and other initiatives.
