FOUR masked men held up staff at a West Bridgford shop with a knife and filled a Christmas shopping bag full of cigarettes and cash. The team of robbers burst in to the One Stop Shop in Gordon Square, off Gordon Road, at around 10.45pm on Sunday night. After raiding the shop they ran down an alleyway running from Gordon Square to Exchange Road. No-one saw them getting in to a vehicle but police think there may have been one waiting nearby. Detectives added that although no staff at the shop were injured, they were left badly shaken. Detective Sergeant Steve Wragg, from West Bridgford CID, said: "This was a frightening experience for the staff and there can be no hiding from the fact this was a serious incident. "However, I want to reassure the community that this was targeted at commercial premises where thankfully no-one was hurt. "We are keen to hear from anyone who recognises the people in these images or has any information about this robbery." One of the robbers was wearing a checked shirt, while the others were in dark clothing. All had their faces covered. The CCTV inside the shop shows them using what appears to be a Christmas-themed shopping bag to haul off cigarettes and cash. Anyone who saw any of the men in the area at the time or who recognises anything about the people in the CCTV images should contact West Bridgford CID on 101 ext 8106133 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
