SIX people including the Notts Police and Crime Commissioner will be arrested and hauled before a judge – in aid of homeless and vulnerable people. Paddy Tipping will be among six well-known 'accused' to feel the full weight of the law at the second annual Jail and Bail event for the homelessness charity Framework. It will be held at the Galleries of Justice on Thursday, May 16. The accused have been allocated entirely fictional offences by their friends, colleagues and families. The six also include Mansfield town FC chief executive Carolyn Radford. They will get the colourful spectacle of arrest and a public trial, complete with a judge, jury and rowdy public gallery in the Galleries' old Victorian courtroom. They will then be led to cells below and asked for £1,000 in bail and sponsorship money. Framework's Natalie Goodrich, who is organising the event, said: "This really is one of the highlights of our fundraising calendar. "It's fun, full of atmosphere and enjoys and a wonderful way for a group of very busy people to support their community." Mrs Radford said: "I wanted to take part in the 'Jail and Bail' fundraising event to show my support to a truly phenomenal charity. "Framework plays a vital part in the Mansfield community helping those in need the most." The six accused along with their "crimes" and pleas are;• Adam Bird, co-founder and director of Nottingham business messaging firm Esendex: "The gratuitous wearing of Lycra in a public space". Not guilty.• Carolyn Radford, chief executive of Mansfield Town FC: "Wearing high heels to football games". Not Guilty.• Mark Hands, director of Alea Casino and Marco Pierre White: "Eating all the Marco Pierre White Pies". Not guilty• Paddy Tipping, Police and Crime Commissioner: "Impersonating the Chief Constable". Not guilty.• Rob Wilmot, Director of Nottingham marketing and design firm BCS: "Claiming that beloved Nottinghamshire Robin Hood actually came from Yorkshire". Guilty.• Simon Taylor: chief operating officer at The Nottingham building society: "Labouring under the delusion that by drinking copious quantities of Diet Coke we will one day appear in one of the drink's iconic adverts". Guilty.
