A 73-YEAR-OLD woman was cut out of a car after it collided with a barrier on the A1 northbound near Carlton-on-Trent just after noon today.
The woman and a dog were passengers in the car being driven by her husband, who was able to get out of the car.
Two fire crews attended the scene and removed the car door in order to free the woman, who was taken to hospital by ambulance as a precautionary measure due to suspected spinal injuries.
