A man has been charged following an attempted robbery at a shop in Mansfield on Tuesday 23 October.
Steven Mark Smith, 20, of Darlton Street, in the Ladybrook Estate, Mansfield, is alleged to have entered the Athishaya Stores in Ladybrook Place, armed with an imitation handgun.
He is accused of threatening shop staff and demanding money before fleeing empty-handed.
No one was injured in the incident.
Smith was charged with attempted robbery and possession of an imitation firearm with intent to commit an offence.
He will appear before Mansfield Magistrates' Court this morning.
