BULWELL and Bulwell Forest groups and residents will be going head-to-head in a bid to get £500 of funding for ideas to improve their community.
Applications to enter the 'Councillors' Den' are open to any groups or individuals who may wish to launch projects or need money to buy equipment for community work within the area.
Three councillors from Bulwell and three from Bulwell Forest will be chatting to applicants at a special event in July and then selecting a shortlist of six projects per ward.
The final three projects for each ward will be decided by public vote.
Bulwell Forest councillor and Nottingham City Council portfolio holder for jobs and growth Nick McDonald said: "It's not just three community groups per ward that are going to get a real boost from this - it's the community as a while.
"It's going to be a tough job whittling it down to the final six and it's right that residents will have the final say in a vote because it's the local people who will benefit from these investments."
Applications need to be submitted by Friday, May 31, and the event takes place on July 1 at Bulwell Riverside Centre.
£500 will go to each of the three ideas or projects that get selected.
