POLICE have closed Coventry Lane, in Bramcote, after a serious accident.
The crash, happened at 2.55pm today.
One car was involved and appears to have collided with a lamp post or bollard, although investigations are ongoing.
The driver was taken to hopsital with serious injuries.
Police refused to release further details at this stage until their next of kin has been informed.
The road will remain closed for at least an hour while investigations continue.
