SERVICE users interested in volunteering are invited to attend a opportunities fair.
The event organised by the Social Inclusion and Wellbeing Service at Nottinghamshire Healthcare aims to promote volunteering opportunities for service users affected by mental health difficulties.
The event will provide an opportunity for service users to learn about the benefits of volunteering and speak directly with representatives from a variety of local organisations, including Nottinghamshire police and Broxtowe Volunteer Centre.
Sangita Dhawan, Co-ordinator for Community Volunteering from the service said: "This is the first ever initiative in mental health services to bring together placement providers in direct contact with potential volunteers from mental health services who represent a seriously stigmatised section of the community."
The event will be held in the Conference Hall at Highbury Hospital from 9.30am- 12.30pm. For queries or further information about this service contact the Social Inclusion and Wellbeing team at the Ivy Suite, Highbury Hospital on: 0115 9560802.
