A CHARITY coffee morning is being held as part of a drive to raise one million pounds towards refurbishing a church.
St Margaret's Church in Aspley is hoping to raise one million towards refurbishing the church through their 'Under One Roof' project.
The coffee morning on Saturday, June 1, will be held at Phoenix Hall, Aspley Lane, from 10am to 12pm, and will feature stalls selling homemade cakes and handmade cards as well as a jigsaw library.
Coffee morning organiser Glenys Harwood said: "We always hold a coffee morning every first Saturday of the month, and the moneys that we raise we've given to various charities, but we've decided that we're having this new Under One Roof project and we've got to raise one million pounds.
"Come and join us to make new friends and perhaps make new ones."
Entry to the coffee morning costs £1, which includes tea and coffee.
