A COW has been killed after it escaped from a field and ended up on the motorway.
The Aberdeen Angus was hit by a car and a van after wandering onto the M1 near to the Tibshelf services between junction 28 and 29.
The incident took place at 3.40am this morning.
A spokeswoman from Derbyshire Police confirmed the cow was dead on arrival.
