A FARM in Nottinghamshire has been shortlisted for two awards.
Sponsored by Bayer CropScience, the Farming and Countryside Education Awards are now in their fifth year.
They are a result of a joint initiative to celebrate the very best of farming education between the educational charity FACE (Farming and Countryside Education) and seeds and crop protection company Bayer CropScience.
Home Farm in Screveton, near Bingham, has been shortlisted in the Countryside Careers category for activities including offering work experience, supporting vocational qualifications and promoting the many and varied jobs in the countryside.
It is also nominated for the Access category for its efforts encouraging pupils with special needs, disaffected students and disadvantaged students to visit the farm.
The awards will be presented at a ceremony in London in September.
