SUPPORTERS from Maggie's cancer caring centre joined the first Nottingham leg of the 7x7 charity bike ride which is raising money for the centre and three other charities.
Five of the seven rides across Notts have now been completed and the sixth will get underway on Sunday July 28.
The idea of retired police officer Michael Peak, who has Parkinson's and has been treated for cancer, he has taken part in each one to also raise funds for burns unit at Nottingham City Hospital, Southwell Live at Home Scheme and Over the Rainbow Parkinson's support group.
Participants have included Marie Cox and daughter Lauren, 13, who was riding her late grandmother's bike which the family had clubbed together to buy and was much enjoyed until her death from cancer three years ago.
Sunday's ride will leave from the Ferry Inn in Wilford.
The final leg will return to Southwell, Michael's home town, on Sunday August 4.
