BEING a Forest fan is often frustrating and most seasons in recent years have been full of turmoil. This one was no different.
Pre-season brought on the same thoughts and hopes about this being our year – and, like most seasons, it ended with the same feelings of frustration and disappointment.
The disappointment has mainly been from Forest as a club becoming almost 'circus like' at many points throughout the season, whether it be changing of managers, our longest period without a win, media blackouts, or the constant naivety in how the club was being run.
However a lot of those negatives had something to do with Billy Davies. I was once one of Billy's biggest fans, not only in his first period in charge, I was also one of the fans chanting for him to return to the City Ground. I still believe things may have been different had we not had the amount of injuries we had.
But it was definitely time for him to move on.
There were some positives, which I hope the club can build on.
The biggest positive is again the amount of generosity and ambition shown by the chairman.
I am certain his intentions are great, and he will help take us back to where we all want to be.
Fawaz has had a major learning curve this season, I don't think the same mistakes will be made again, I am grateful for him being at our club.
Bringing Stuart Pearce back is obviously a huge lift and we are all excited to see what impact he is going to have.
