IT manager Jordan Cox will be flying the flag for Nottingham tonight as the first episode of the Great British Bake-Off is aired.
The 33-year-old, from Sneinton, decided to enter the show following the death of girlfriend Bonnie Brown's dad Kev Brown, 49, a chef at the White Hart restaurant in Newark.
Jordan, who works for Bell-Fruit Games, will pit his skills against 11 others. He is a member of the Nottingham Cake Eaters Anonymous, which meets monthly to eat cake.
The first episode of the latest series will be screened tonight at 8pm, on BBC1. Leave your messages of support for Jordan on The Post's website.
