Engine problems have resulted in a Canadian Second World War bomber being grounded.

The plane was scheduled to fly over Nottingham on Sunday August 31 along with the only other air-worthy Lancaster bomber in the world.

The British Lancaster will still be taking part in the flypast and residents should be able to see the plane above Radcliffe Golf Club, in Dewberry Lane, heading  towards Gedling over the A52 at around 3.30pm.

The plane will be flying at around 1,000 feet and is called Thumper.
