A 19-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a four-month-old baby boy in Huthwaite in 2010.
Scott Andrew Gladwin, a local to Huthwaite, was arrested and charged on Wednesday in connection with the death.
He appeared before Mansfield magistrates this morning, when he was remanded in custody until his appearance at Nottingham Crown Court tomorrow.
The charge follows an incident at a house in Huthwaite on February 3 2010, in which a four-month-old boy was taken to the Queen's Medical Centre. He died in hospital three days later.
A Home Office post-mortem examination found the cause of death to be head injuries.
