A 1929 Nottingham-built Brough Superior motorcycle has sold for £315,100 at an auction – one of the highest prices ever paid for the bike.
The SS100 'Alpine Grand Sports' bike, similar to the one Lawrence of Arabia was riding when he had his fatal accident in 1935, was sold at Bonhams in London.
Nottinghamshire engineer George Brough designed and built the Brough Superior.
