A SILVER Bentley owned by the frontman of an illegal drugs business has sold for over £32,000.

The vehicle was sold on online auction site eBay in a bid to claw back funds made illegally by steroid dealer Cookie Amin.

Using the Proceeds of Crime Act, Nottinghamshire Police seized Amin's continental coupe after he was convicted of producing and supplying anabolic steroids in a multi-thousand pound drugs business.

Amin, of Barge Walk, in Greenwich, was jailed for four and a half years in April 2013 after an investigation led by Nottinghamshire Police uncovered his online steroids business.

The 30-year-old pleaded guilty to making £900,000 from the illegal production and supply of the drugs.

Financial investigators calculated Amin had £228,000 worth of assets including the car, share of a property in London, cash, bank accounts and jewellery.

Ray Goddard, a financial investigator, said: "We were able to look over his lifestyle over the past six years and calculate his criminal gains. We seize cars and even houses, so a Bentley is a reasonable seizure.

"Amin has a £900,000 debt to the state and he will have this bill for the rest of his life until it is paid off."
