PRINCE Harry is set for a royal welcome to Nottingham today – with a big-screen television showing live footage of his historic visit.
The Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies has organised the screen to be placed on its building in Beck Street, so crowds can catch a glimpse of the Prince for themselves.
This is the first ever visit by the prince to Nottingham, and he will be visiting three venues in the city from around 10.30am.
His first port of call will be the new offices of brain injury charity Headway, in Old Basford.
He will then drop in at the Russell Youth Club in St Ann's before visiting the Confetti studios in the early afternoon.
Emily Lappin, from Confetti, said: "We are hoping to get a lot of people here and get everyone involved in the event.
"We will aim to broadcast as much of the visit to the people outside as we can, which will be fantastic."
Yesterday, the Headway building in Bagnall Road, Old Basford, was a hive of activity as staff prepared for the royal arrival. Luke Griggs, communications manager at the charity, said: "This will be the first time Prince Harry has visited Nottingham and we want to do the city proud. We can't wait for the big moment to arrive.
"There's a huge amount of excitement around the building – a real buzz."
