ENGLAND are 2-0 down in the best of seven one day series against Sri Lanka after being beaten by eight wickets in Colombo.
The Nottinghamshire duo of Alex Hales and James Taylor were once again left out but seamer Harry Gurney was named in the side.
Under-fire captain Alastair Cook won the toss but England were dismissed for 185 in 43 off their 45 overs, Ravi Bopara top scoring on slow pitch.
The hosts lost two early wickets but veterans Kumar Sangakkara (67 not out) and Mahela Jayawardene (77 not out) saw them home with 10.4 overs to spare, finishing on 186 for two.

England made a good start as they reduced Sri Lanka to 37 for two but that was as good as it got for the tourists.
Gurney recorded figures of 32 for nought in 5.2 overs. The next match in the seven-game series is at Hambantota on Wednesday.
