Muhammad is the most popular name for baby boys in the country, it has been revealed.
The Arabic name meaning 'praised' has knocked off Oliver and Jack from the top of the baby name charts, according to data from BabyCentre.
Sophia was the most popular name for baby girls this year, up from third in 2013.
But one name that has tumbled in popularity in the last 12 months is George. It was in the top ten in 2012 but slipped out last year following the Royal birth. This year it has fallen further to 18th place.
There has been a rise in names inspired by film and TV. Elsa, the heroine from Disney's Frozen, is a new entry into the chart at 75 and Emilia, inpsired by Game of Thrones, is a new entry at 53. The names of characters from hit US show Breaking Bad, such as Skyler, Jesse and Walter, have also seen their popularity rise.
